Engaging Youth with Story

This workshop will focus on how stories can be used for learning, discovery and connection when working with young people. Deb Driscoll, an experienced youth worker, will share her passion and knowledge.

At the end of the workshop you will have skills to:

• Create safe, inclusive spaces for sharing stories
• Identify the themes in stories can be applied for deeper learning for the young people and for them as a group or collective.
• Be mindful of young people’s needs when planning and facilitating workshops and activities
• Listen well and confidently speak when working with groups of young people

This workshop will use a strengths based methodology and framework. We will focus on the strengths, achievements and lessons that stories hold.
